Body-Image & Wellbeing Safety Policy

Glowria exists to help adults understand and celebrate their own aesthetic trajectory. Beauty technology can be harmful when it becomes a mirror for comparison, shame, or clinical self-judgement. This policy sets out the rules we hold ourselves to, informed by NEDA (US), Beat (UK), and the WHO guidance on adolescent and adult body image.

1. Our commitments

• No toxic scoring. No global “attractiveness” ranks, no leaderboards, no social comparison of one user against another as a person.
• No shaming language. Feedback is framed around care, potential, and possibility, never around defect or inadequacy.
• No medical or clinical claims. Glowria provides wellness and aesthetic guidance only — it does not diagnose, screen, treat, or monitor any condition.
• No weight-loss coaching, no calorie coercion, no “before/after” framing that implies your current self is wrong.
• Adults only. The service is limited to users 18+.
• Consent-first biometrics-like features. Face-derived descriptors are used to personalise guidance and can be deleted at any time.

2. Safety rails in the product

• Automated boundary classifier: sensitive topics (eating disorders, self-harm, body dysmorphia, dermatologic conditions, hormonal disorders, surgery decisions, mental-health crises) trigger safe responses and, where relevant, a professional-referral card.
• Locked lexicon: our AI outputs are prevented from using diagnostic or prescriptive vocabulary (e.g. diagnose, detect, treat, cure, prescribe, disease).
• Report a piece of content or a user at any time — see Report content.
• Right to erasure of face descriptors and generated media on request at any time.

4. Reporting harm on Glowria

Use glowria.ai/report to flag content, a user, or an AI output you consider unsafe. We aim to acknowledge reports within 24 hours and to action clear violations promptly.
